Web content and SEO copywriting may sound like two different things. To many, they seem like they are two ways of saying the same thing. It's helpful to understand their differences while keeping in mind that they do work together.
What is Web Content?
When talking about web content, we're referring to all of the assets that make up a web page such as text, images, video and audio or podcasts. A web content developer is someone who is responding to the needs of their target audience by providing the elements and layout that would most appeal to them. A web content developer wants to ensure that visitors get answers to their questions or have their problem solved when they get to your site. This is primarily a reactive response based on visitor requirements.

The purpose of your website is either to provide information to visitors, to entertain or inspire, or to convince them to purchase from you or visit your store. Is it doing what you want it to do?
My main focus is to help website owners increase traffic to their site, but what happens next? I make sure that the next steps they need to take are part of our conversation. Generally there are a few things I point out to people before I start working with them so there is more chance of success. Keep these things in mind before you hire an SEO:
I was positively giddy on December 31st. Maybe it was because some special friends were coming over that evening and we were going to enjoy our traditional seafood feast and game-playing until it was time to toast and kiss at midnight. Maybe it was because my house was the cleanest it’s been in a while (I really should have company more often). Or perhaps it was the combined joy of saying goodbye to a year that held a few setbacks and sad moments and hello to a year filled with excitement and promise.
Yes, you can add all the content you like to your profile – skills, experience, education, associations, networks, interests – but please do not use any old party shot for your profile picture. They weren’t kidding when they said that a picture is worth a thousand words and it would take about two seconds for someone to glance at the off-center, ultra casual image of you and think ‘Hmm. Not sure if I’d do business with him.’
